He had heard the rumors of a vicious troll living there, and so, eager to carve his name and build his glory on the corpse of that troll, he boldly descended to the creek.

Rainy day.
1st ever Ragnarok GameCon.
AN EPIC OF AWESOME AWESOMENESS UPON AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was happily surprised at the organization and efficiency of the hosts.
I was also surprised (as much as the hosts) at the local vendors/expositors response and support, there were almost as many vendors as in any other local pop culture convention.
And the rain didn't stop the fans from getting there (after 2 hours of opening and waiting and lots of serious stares from the hosts to each other).
Fans, cosplayers, moms, dads, children, geeks, nerds, gamers, non-gamers, hecklers, everyone and their favorite game character was there.
i had an exposition table and i drew some commissions (not too many, but i had LOTS of fun).

So i've been working with the US Census, in a temporary job, but that don't mean it's a bad job, it's interesting, though a bit unstable, but the boss told me it'd be like that, so i was prepared; and i've made some money, and i've lowered some of my debts, but i still wish i had something more stable, fixed hours, steady income, you know, something that feels like a real job, but tomorrow is the last day of this temporary job, and, although they told me that they'd consider me to transfer me to a new position in the US Census, nothing is certain, so i'm a bit worried, although not too much, cuz i did save some money, and am still saving money, and i'll receive 2 more checks after tomorrow, and also i still got the food stamps to survive a while, and i have to remember that i have an appointment to check my food-stamps on may, and thank God i have more or less decent parents who actually like helping out their children if they need anything, of course they're not rich either so it's not about them supporting me, but they help with some bills now and then when they can, and that's good, and i also took the test for the Social Security Administration, but they haven't let me know the results yet, and since they said they'd answer in a month, i guess i still have a couple of weeks to wait, but for now life's good, except for the damn cold that's ruining my weekend.

So i took the basic test to work for the census bureau some weeks ago, then some days later they called me and said i did so well that i should try taking the management position test, so i went and took the management position test, then i called to see how i'd done, but they didn't answer and i left a message, then, some days later, they returned my call, apologized for not answering, said they had a lot going on with all the tests and such, and then they told me i'd done really well on the test, that in fact i had scored the highest in the management position test but that they were not done with the tests and that they'd be contacting me later in the month to offer me a job position, and 2 days ago they called me to offer me a position in the promotions department, working as a partnership assistant and they asked me some questions and i answered them, and they described the job position then told me they'd call me again in the afternoon to let me know whether i'd been chosen for the position or not, so i waited, but they didn't call me that afternoon, and then the day after, yesterday, they called again but to offer a different position as an enumerator, so i assumed they had rejected me for the previous position so i accepted the enumerator position and was happy i at least got a job, but then they called again later about the previous position as a partnership assistant and asked me if i was still interested, and since the partnership assistant position is better i said that indeed i was still interested but i had already accepted the enumerator position, so they said i should call the the local office to decline the position i had accepted then call again to the central office to confirm i had declined the enumerator position so they could hire me in the partnership assistant position but it was already late, so i called the local office this morning, then the central office, and it was a bit of a mess, but i finally am hired as a partnership assistant and am supposed to start training next wednesday, and so on, and i am excited to finally have a job, even if it is just a temporary one...

so i'll do commissions. (up to 5 slots per month)

- serious and cartoony portraits (with a good reference photo, agreed upon between artist and client)
- natural and fantasy landscapes
- character commissions (both published and non-published)
- illustrations in general

- 12x18 inches sketch paper ($15 and up)
- 16x20 inches canvas board ($50 and up)
- 11x17 inches comic book board ($30 and up)
- pencils
- ballpoint pen finish (for details)(+$5)
- inks finish (india ink and/or sharpie permanent markers)(+$5)
- coloring crayons (ends up looking pretty much the same as if i did it with coloring pencils)(+$5)
- charcoal (+$5)
- watercolors (+$10)
- acrylics (+$20)
- other mediums and/or formats (if available) will be priced upon agreement between artist and client

for now, those will be the prices PLUS shipping (i'll be posting soon how much the shipping within USA territories will be for each format), for foreign shipping do not hesitate to note me, so i can find out how much it would be for your country.
